Habit: Perennial tuberous geophyte.
Stem: Erect or ascending, 10–30 cm tall, glabrous, arising from underground bulbils.
Leaf: Long-petioled, palmately compound, with 3 obovate leaflets, 1–2 × 0.8–1.5 cm, bright green or purple-tinged, with a heart-shaped apex.
Flowering: Spring–autumn.
Flowers: Long-peduncled, umbellate cymes; 5 pink petals (obovate, 1–1.5 cm, spreading), 10 stamens (5 long and 5 short, anthers), superior 5-carpellate ovary.
Fruit: Cylindrical capsule, 1–1.5 cm long, 10-ribbed, with bulbils at the apex.
